I'm pretty superstitious - blame it on my Chinese upbringing. I like even numbers, symmetry and things that can be halved easily. This year on January 23rd, we'll be celebrating Chinese New Year. (The date changes every year based on the lunar calendar).  It's the incredibly auspicious year of the Dragon and if you're born under this year it means that you're passionate, self-assured and meant to be a pioneer in what ever you do. Some of my favorite dragons include Count Basie, Michael Douglas, John Lennon, Ringo Starr and Al Pacino. (Hey, two dragons in the Beatles has to mean something)! Besides the typical things we played with as kids such as fireworks and sparklers, being given Mandarin oranges for good fortune, we also received hong bao, little red envelopes with cash inside. It's a festive and incredible celebration I still look forward to.

In the spirit of the dragon, I've created a limited edition print available for purchase below.
